Looking at queer and trans poets, in this workshop we will explore how poetry can help us find a path home to ourselves. Through guided prompts, we will delve into self-exploration and begin to tell our stories, as only we can.

Karo Ska (she/they) is a South Asian & Eastern European non-binary femme poet, living on unceded Tongva Land. They migrated here in 1996 from Warsaw, Poland. Their writing focuses on identity, mental health, survivorship and the intersections of trauma and politics. Their first chapbook, gathering grandmothers' bones was released on February 29th, 2020. Their full collection, loving my salt-drenched bones was published through World Stage Press on February 23, 2022.
