What are the ways you express yourself? Do you ever feel like there are limits to your self-expression? Art can be a very liberating and experimental way to play with and explore gender identity. We will discuss how at times appearance and other’s perceptions of us can conflict with one’s identity or how you see yourself. You will be invited to explore gender identity and expression through self-portraiture. We will create a working definition of self-portraiture and all skill levels are encouraged to join!

Paula is a white, queer, trans student and artist. They are constantly in the process of exploring their own gender identity and expression through art, particularly self-portraiture. They love to share and create work with other trans folks to create exciting new possibilities around gender and bodies.
